MICHELIN Key 2026: Capella Bangkok Leads 71 Thai Hotels

The MICHELIN Guide has officially unveiled its 2026 MICHELIN Key hotel selection, recognizing 71 outstanding properties across Thailand—up from 62 last year. The update reflects a dynamic hospitality landscape, showcasing a blend of urban luxury, wellness retreats, and boutique escapes.

This year’s announcement highlights major movements within the ratings, including key promotions and 15 debut properties entering the global selection for the first time.

Breakdown of Thailand’s 2026 MICHELIN Key Selection

• Three MICHELIN Keys (6 Properties): Denoting an extraordinary stay, the top tier is led by Capella Bangkok, which has been promoted from Two Keys. It joins established icons Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, The Siam, Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai, Phulay Bay, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve (Krabi), and Amanpuri (Phuket).

• Two MICHELIN Keys (22 Properties): Highlighting exceptional stays, four properties earned promotions this year: Dusit Thani Bangkok, 137 Pillars House (Chiang Mai), Iniala Beach House (Phang Nga), and Trisara (Phuket). Additionally, Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui entered the guide directly at Two Keys.

• One MICHELIN Key (43 Properties): Representing very special stays, this category welcomed 14 new additions across the country.
