Le Méridien Bangkok has announced the winner of its Rooftop Street Art Fight, a creative competition that transforms the hotel’s rooftop into an open-air canvas, bringing street culture into dialogue with the city skyline.
The winning piece was created by a team of young artists from Satit International School Chiangmai — Jiaqi (Angela) Hu, Jiayi (Helen) Zhang, Kanyapra (Rose) Nuphet, Qianqian (Dahlia) Li, and Yiran (Angela) Zheng — under the mentorship of Sahahpanh Prapaipanich. Their work, centered on the image of a maiden surrounded by animals, reflects youth, hope, and a vision for a more sustainable future.
Interpreting the theme Colour and Sustainability, the piece uses colour as a visual language to express balance, resilience, and coexistence with nature, while also addressing environmental and social challenges in today’s urban context.
Held on 28 March 2026, the rooftop event brought together artists, partners, and guests to celebrate the completed works in a lively, open-air setting. Staying true to the spirit of street culture, the evening featured street food-style dining, reinforcing the project’s focus on accessibility, inclusivity, and shared creative experience.
Beyond art, the initiative also contributes to the community. Proceeds from the event, after expenses, will be donated to the Thai Red Cross Society via its Donation HUB, supporting underprivileged patients and those in need.
The project was supported by partners including Sherwin-Williams, Bangkok Vodka, Phraya Rum, Chang, EST, and Italasia — all sharing a commitment to creativity, sustainability, and community engagement.
As part of Asset World Corporation (AWC) Hotels & Resorts, Le Méridien Bangkok also continues to support local creatives through The GALLERY, a social enterprise marketplace in the hotel lobby that showcases Thai artisans and community-made products, with proceeds going directly back to support local communities across the country.
