Dusit Thani Bangkok Hosts Interactive Dining Experience Inspired by Netflix's "The Maverick Academy"

Dusit International, a leading Thai hospitality company, is hosting a one-night-only culinary showcase at its flagship hotel, the newly reimagined Dusit Thani Bangkok. The event, dubbed "The Maverick Academy Live Showcase Dinner," takes place on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, and draws inspiration from the popular Netflix cooking competition series "The Maverick Academy," which Dusit International sponsors.

The immersive dining experience will feature Michelin-starred chef Alvin Leung, host of "The Maverick Academy" and owner of the two-Michelin-starred Bo Innovation restaurant in Hong Kong. He will be joined by four talented contestants from the show, all collaborating to craft a ten-course menu celebrating Southeast Asia's rich culinary heritage within the elegant Pavilion restaurant.

Interactive Dining with Rising Stars

This exclusive evening adds an interactive twist. Contestants Jarupol, Goo Goo, Pattayah, and Woody will work in teams, showcasing their culinary expertise through regional specialties inspired by their journey on the show. Guests can not only savor these unique creations but also vote for their favorites. Additionally, Chef Leung will be presenting one of his renowned duck dishes.

Highlighting the Next Generation

Further emphasizing Dusit's involvement with the show, talented students from Dusit Thani College, where filming for some of the challenges took place, will play a critical role during the event. Assisting contestants with plating and service, these aspiring chefs will offer guests a glimpse into the future of Thai culinary talent.

The ten-course dinner is priced at THB 3,800++ per person, with an optional wine pairing available for an additional charge. Early bird bookings before December 10, 2024, receive a 10% discount. With only 80 guest spots available, reservations are encouraged.
