Bangkok's Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok hotel is hosting a solo exhibition by Mix Anusone Tunarin, a talented autistic artist. The showcase, titled "Exclusive Artist Exhibition: Mix," runs from September 24th to October 20th, 2024, on the hotel's 30th-floor Maa-Lai Library.

Tunarin, a member of the social enterprise Artstory by Autistic Thai, uses his art to express his vivid imagination. The exhibition features over 15 pieces created using various techniques, including fantastical creatures and mythical scenes. Highlights include "Fiery Phoenix," a seven-month project painted in red, yellow, and gold, and "The Four-Face Ganesha," an intricate homage to Rachathiwat Temple that incorporates the Om symbol and the Hindu Trimurti gods.

autistic artist for Kimpton Maa-LaiArtstory by Autistic Thai, founded in 2018, aims to empower autistic individuals by fostering their artistic talents. Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok has a history of supporting the organization, having previously commissioned Artstory to design their popular 2024 mooncake box packaging.

This exhibition aligns with IHG's "Giving for Good" initiative, a month-long commitment to charitable acts throughout September. Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok's participation reflects their dedication to "true hospitality through good" and their commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I).

"We are proud to reaffirm our commitment to DE&I by creating a welcoming environment for everyone," said Shane Jameson, Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok. "This exhibition builds on the success of our mooncake packaging, which championed inclusivity. We aim to create career opportunities for neurodivergent individuals and ensure all guests and employees feel valued."

Jameson also highlighted the role of IHG's DAWN employee network, a Disability and Wellbeing Network that fosters a supportive environment for members with health conditions or disabilities.

"Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok has created a heartwarming experience by breaking down barriers through creativity and goodwill," said a spokesperson.

The exhibition features over 15 pieces available for purchase, with proceeds directly benefiting the artist and Artstory by Autistic Thai. The "Exclusive Artist Exhibition: Mix" is open daily from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Maa-Lai Library on the 30th floor of Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok.
