The Saneh Art by Songkran Festival 2026 transforms Bangkok’s iconic Lumpini Park into a world-class art destination. This year, the traditional water festival merges with contemporary culture, featuring massive sculptures and installations by internationally acclaimed Thai artists. From splashing in the park to engaging in hands-on workshops, it is the ultimate destination for the "new generation" (คนรุ่นใหม่) seeking a fresh perspective on the Thai New Year.

A New Landmark for Contemporary Art

Trendy Gallery, in collaboration with Amazing Thailand, has turned the Entertainment Plaza of Lumpini Park into a vibrant open-air gallery. The festival elevates Songkran into a global celebration of creativity, showcasing the compelling force of Thai artistic talent

MAMUANGCuteness Overload: Meet the Characters

The highlight of the festival is the collection of towering sculptures and character art. You can get up close and snap selfies with world-famous creations, including:
 

  • CRYBABY: A massive installation by Nisa Srikamdee.
  • Mamuang: The beloved character by Wisut Ponnimit.
  • POORBOY: The distinctive forest spirit by Kasemwit Chaweewat.

  • TOMATO TWINS: Vibrant works by Sirinat Saiprasert.
  • Na Niu Mue: The signature style of 2CHOEY (Cherdsak Moyakhan).

Activities for Everyone

If you prefer to stay dry or simply want to dive deeper into the art world, the festival offers a variety of free activities
 

Artist Talks & Workshops: Participate in hands-on sessions and learn from the creators themselves from 11-15 April, from 5pm to 6pm.

Stamp Collection: Join the fun and collect stamps for a chance to win limited edition prizes.

Extended Viewing: While the full festival runs during the Songkran peak, the sculpture display remains open until the end of April.
