Michelin Stars Rising: Thailand Welcomes 10 New Starred Restaurants in 2026
Sühring becomes Thailand’s second Three-Michelin-Star restaurant — and the first German restaurant in Asia to earn the honor.
Thailand continues its ascent on the global gastronomic stage as the MICHELIN Guide Thailand 2026 unveils 10 new Michelin-Starred restaurants, marking another milestone year for the country’s dining scene.
Sühring, Bangkok’s modern German fine dining destination, has been elevated to the prestigious Three MICHELIN Stars — joining Sorn as the only restaurants in Thailand to hold this highest accolade. It also becomes the first German restaurant in Asia to achieve three stars.
The latest edition also celebrates:
-
2 new Two-Star promotions — Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie and INDDEE
-
7 new One-Star additions, including newcomers Bo.lan, Cannubi by Umberto Bombana and etcha
-
Juksunchae, now the first Korean restaurant in Thailand to receive a Michelin Star
Another highlight of the year:
Chef Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajohn expands his star-powered portfolio with Nusara, earning One MICHELIN Star — a heartfelt tribute to his grandmother, whom the restaurant is named after.
Thailand also celebrates a new sustainability champion — GOAT, which joins the MICHELIN Green Star community for its thoughtful sourcing and environmentally conscious creativity.
And for the first time ever in Thailand, the MICHELIN Guide Mentor Chef Award honors Chef David Thompson (Aksorn, Chop Chop Cook Shop), whose influence has shaped the evolution of Thai fine dining and nurtured a generation of rising culinary talents.
From groundbreaking tasting menus to regionally rooted flavors reinvented with finesse — Thailand’s chefs are proving that the country isn’t just a great place to eat… it’s a world leader in culinary innovation.
