Resonant Abstractions: D-Jai Kosiyabong’s Language of Sight and Sound
Experience a groundbreaking fusion of painting and sound, where color is heard, and language takes on new dimensions
SAC Gallery unveils Resonant Abstractions, the debut solo exhibition by Thai artist D-Jai Kosiyabong, running from 3 April to 31 May 2025. Known for her innovative approach to blending visual art and sound, Kosiyabong invites audiences to experience a world where color is heard, and sound is seen.

Curated by Miranda K. Metcalf, this exhibition marks a defining moment in Kosiyabong’s artistic journey. Having previously exhibited in New York, Copenhagen, and Bangkok, she has gained international recognition for her thought-provoking explorations of language, memory, and perception. Resonant Abstractions brings her unique vision into full focus, combining structured mark-making with computational soundscapes to create an immersive sensory experience.
At the heart of her work is a deep investigation into how language shapes our understanding of the world. Her paintings mimic the rhythm and structure of written words, while her sound compositions transform these visuals into layered auditory experiences. This interplay challenges audiences to rethink the way they perceive and process communication.
"The words we use to describe emotions are predefined by society," Kosiyabong explains. "This exhibition is about stepping beyond those constraints—seeing language not just as words, but as something we can feel, hear, and experience in new ways."
Her background in multidisciplinary arts has shaped her ability to translate abstract concepts into tangible, interactive works. With collectors across the United States, Europe, and Asia taking interest in her work, Resonant Abstractions is a milestone that solidifies her presence in the contemporary art scene.
The exhibition runs on the 2nd floor of SAC Gallery with free admission. The opening reception on 3 April 2025, at 6:30 PM, offers a chance to meet the artist and engage with Bangkok’s vibrant art community.
