Renowned Artist Somtow Sucharitkul’s Talk: “Moo Deng’s World of Fantasy”
National Artist Somtow Sucharitkul will give a talk in English on “Moo Deng’s World of Fantasy” on March 8 at 2 pm: Asiabooks Siam Paragon
Author of over 120 books including the bestselling Jasmine Nights, Vampire Junction and Nirvana Express S.P. Somtow has recently done a series of illustrated children’s books and I’m Dreaming of Moo Deng is the first to be published in Thailand in a bilingual edition.
I’m Dreaming of Moo Deng is the story of a suburban American boy who stumbles on viral videos of Thailand’s Moo deng on line.
Designed to be shared with parents and children, this little book has just been made available at Asia Books and S.P. Somtow will appear in person on March 8 at the Siam Paragon branch of the popular bookstore chain for a story time and book signing. Some young members of the Siam Sinfonietta will also appear to provide a little music.
