Sustainability Expo 2023 (SX2023): Uniting for a "Good Balance, Better World"

As the global climate crisis intensifies, the world has entered the "Decade of Action," necessitating significant changes. Sustainability Expo 2023 (SX2023), the ASEAN's largest sustainability exposition, is poised to address these challenges. Under the banner of "Sufficiency for Sustainability," SX2023 brings together a diverse range of stakeholders, from governments and corporations to international partners, to promote a balanced and sustainable future.

Global warming has escalated to unprecedented levels, ushering in what experts are now terming the "Global Boiling" era, with severe climate change impacting communities worldwide. In response to this dire situation, the world finds itself in the "Decade of Action," a critical period demanding substantial transformations. Sustainability Expo 2023 (SX2023), the ASEAN's largest sustainability exposition, returns for its fourth consecutive year, embracing the theme of "Sufficiency for Sustainability." This event serves as a rallying point for individuals, organizations, and governments, both regionally and globally, to join forces and raise awareness about sustainability across various dimensions, all with the ultimate aim of achieving a "Good Balance, Better World."

Scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 8, 2023, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, SX2023 aligns with His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Bodindradebayavarangkun's royal command to sustain and enhance initiatives for the benefit and happiness of the people. The event also draws inspiration from the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy (SEP), guided by the principles set forth by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, which has earned global recognition as a blueprint for organizing sustainability initiatives.

Furthermore, SX2023 positions itself as a catalyst for diverse networks from all sectors to contribute collectively to the "Decade of Action." This initiative aims to reshape the world into a sustainable habitat by fostering changes and equilibrium in economic, social, and environmental dimensions (ESG), as well as influencing shifts in daily behavior and lifestyles. With the participation of over 100 organizations, 250 speakers, and 500 regional and global sustainable business networks, SX2023 represents a monumental effort.

Five leading sustainability-focused organizations—Frasers Property Company Limited, PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC), SCG Public Company Limited, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, and Thai Union Group Public Company Limited—have united to spearhead Sustainability Expo 2023. In a noteworthy development, SCG, one of the founding organizations, will host the ESG Symposium, while the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment will organize the Thailand Climate Action Conference (TCAC), a crucial initiative driving the country's Net Zero plan. Additionally, the Thailand Supply Chain Network (TSCN) and various government agencies, private sector entities, civil society organizations, and more are collaborating to establish a sustainable business model known as "B2C2B" (Business-to-Consumer-to-Business). This innovative model places consumers at the heart of connecting business organizations, facilitating cross-sector collaboration aimed at achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs) by 2030.

Over the course of the 10-day exposition, attendees are invited to engage in highlighted activities and explore innovative concepts and sustainable models from leading organizations. These activities cater to diverse lifestyles, helping individuals adapt their behaviors, cultivate new attitudes, and align with global lifestyle trends spanning areas such as sleep, nutrition, and fitness. SX2023 aims to inspire individuals to transform their lifestyles, enhance their immunity, and take actions that positively impact the world.
